Abelardo Morell and The Camera Obscura — A look at Morell's work with the camera obscura and a quick history on it. His curious and mesmerizing work engages students to really look at the photographs. First page is a bio and obscura history, next page includes several of Morell's photographic images done with the obscura. One images is featured and contains questions for students — some questions are best asked before even introducing information or how the images are made. Then after students learn how Morell created them, additional questions are included. These can be applied to each of his images — his work naturally lends itself to students trying to figure it out first and then think on the message and imagery.
