Gestalt Theory in Graphic Design and Art — improve your layouts and compositions by taking a look at how the Gestalt Theory uses 6 principles to apply to them. Includes 2 page summary of the 6 principles, a mini poster/cheat sheet and 2 worksheets. #1 students have several questions to answer about principles and then studying logos to see what principles have been used (also good for group discussion). 2nd sheet has them using basic shapes to create a layout for specific words and then choosing 5 words of their own to make a composition for each. This challenges them to think about how to express words in through design while holding to principles. Teacher answers are not included as there many variables and often design can include more than one principle.
